In school we had a project called jewellery for change. In short we had to create a piece of jewellery that made a difference for the wearer.

Our project was with women embracing their bodies, reclaiming their place in society and having a reminder of how strong women are alone and as in a unity.

 

The jewellery was an extention of your own body. creating a model of your body, ex. a collarbone like shown above, Showing you and the world how beautiful you are.

 

We chose to name the project "illa", hence it means "she" in Latin, and we wanted to embrace the unity of women.
